Empowered Minds delivers high-quality Alternative Provision for children and young people who find mainstream education challenging. 

Our programme combines sport, creative learning, academic support, social-emotional development and practical life skills to help learners rebuild resilience, motivation and trust in themselves and others.

Placements run from 10am to 2pm at our community hub in Worcester. Learners benefit from clear routines, meaningful activities and consistent guidance, helping them make positive progress towards reintegration, continued education or future training.

what to expect
Core Learning Components

Each day follows a structured routine adapted to each pupil’s ability, learning style and individual support plan. Activities blend physical, creative, academic and personal development.

English & Maths Support
Walk and talk, fitness tasks, football drills to release tension and prepare to engage
Sports & Physical Wellbeing
Multi-sport and fitness sessions tailored to interests and ability. Builds teamwork, communication, perseverance and emotional regulation.
Team Building & Communication
Group challenges that develop cooperation, trust, social awareness and effective communication.
Social & Emotional Learning (SEL)
Structured sessions covering emotional regulation, self-awareness, resilience, positive decision-making and behaviour.
Cooking & Life Skills
Hands-on cooking sessions promoting independence, safety, nutrition, organisation and responsibility.
Arts, Crafts & Creative Expression
Expressive activities that support sensory regulation, emotional awareness, focus and confidence.
Music & Rhythm Sessions
Percussion, rhythm and music appreciation sessions that encourage creativity, emotional expression and communication.
Topic-Based & Academic Enrichment
Real-world projects embedding literacy, numeracy and PSHE in meaningful contexts. Supports reintegration into education or progression to learning.
Who We Support
Pupils who:

Find mainstream settings overwhelming or emotionally difficult

Experience anxiety, frustration or low confidence

Struggle with engagement, motivation or positive behaviour

Are at risk of exclusion, persistent absence or disengagement

Would benefit from structured support outside the classroom to help them re-engage with learning

Pupils are supported to rebuild confidence, strengthen emotional resilience and develop the skills needed to succeed in education and everyday life.
